As with wedding photography, I try to approach most of my portrait photography from a natural standpoint, steering clear of backdrops (unless called for) in favor of a real space, and natural light.

Whether it's someplace familiar and comfortable, a natural setting, or just wandering around the city for an hour with my subject, I love discovering the photo more than engineering it. My goal is to bring out the person inside, and to have fun doing it!
